Since her youth, Sellers Shook has felt a deep connection to horses and to expanding her knowledge and ability. Her initial exposure to dressage was thanks to her young rider trainer's background in eventing, as well as Sellers’ involvement in the USPC Cahaba Pony Club chapter near Birmingham, Alabama.  

Sellers then pursued further education within the equestrian field by surrounding herself with more top trainers, including her current mentor, Grand Prix dressage competitor and USDF Gold Medalist Natalya Gryson at Still Hill Dressage. Under Gryson's mentorship, Sellers' dedication to working with horses and understanding of dressage intensified at both academic and creative levels.

Today, Sellers specializes in starting, training, and selling horses on a professional level. She provides backing, starting, and early training for young prospects, as well as boarding and full training for adult amateur riders looking to deepen their understanding of dressage. Sellers also accepts select horses into her sale program and enjoys creating great matches between horses and their new owners.

Sellers brings a combination of academic insight, practical experience, and an expansive knowledge of horse training and management to Bent River Dressage. Her empathetic, approachable philosophy of dressage has made her a sought-after trainer for both horses and riders in North Carolina and beyond.
